THE STORY
Rebel Songs follows a group of teenagers as they journey through the Rebel Song Academy—an intensive, 12-week music and mentorship program that helps young artists transform their lived experiences into powerful original songs. The film follows these young artists from their first writing sessions, to recording in a professional studio, and finally performing live on stage in front of hundreds of people.
The Rebel Song Academy invites professional artists and musicians to serve as mentors, helping students discover the creative processes of songwriting, performance, and taking controlled risks. Such experiences instill students with lasting confidence and life skills.
During filming, our team captured intimate, behind-the-scenes interviews with students, their families, and mentors. The audience will walk alongside them—witnessing the highs, lows, and transformative moments of their journey through the Academy.
But this is more than a film about a music program. It's a coming-of-age story about self-expression, resilience, and what happens when young voices are not just heard—but celebrated.
